In<\/strong> Switzerland<\/strong> there<\/strong> started<\/strong> the<\/strong> so<\/strong> called<\/strong> Lugano<\/strong> conference<\/strong> on planning of Ukraine\u2019s renovation<\/strong>. <\/strong>It<\/strong> is<\/strong> monitored<\/strong> by<\/strong> Natalia<\/strong> Hozak<\/strong>, <\/strong>CEO<\/strong>, <\/strong>NGO<\/strong> \u00ab<\/strong>Ecoaction<\/strong>\u00bb, <\/strong>and<\/strong> Anna<\/strong> Akermann<\/strong>, <\/strong>specialist<\/strong> on<\/strong> climate and<\/strong> energy<\/strong> policy<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Among the participants \u2013 Ukraine\u2019s President Volodymyr Zelens\u2019ky (online), Ukraine\u2019s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, officials from President\u2019s Office, government, Parliament, business, civil society \u2013 over 50 countries and 20 international organizations in total.<\/p>\n

The environmental part of Ukraine\u2019s renovation plan was presented to world community by\u00a0Ruslan<\/strong> Strilets\u2019, Ukraine\u2019s Minister<\/strong> of nature protection and resources<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe respective chapter \u201cEnvironmental security\u201d was completed by over 200 experts, \u2013 commented the Minister. \u2013 Consequently, we have 76 projects on nature protection of total cost 25,5 billion euros.\u00a0And we already take care about investments. Within LIFE program, with Ukraine recently joined, we can implement a number of projects even before we are members of the EU\u201d.<\/p>\n

It is claimed that strategic objective of post-war renovation is clean and safe environment,\u00a0further observance of European \u201cgreen deal\u201d and the reconstruction of economics based on sustainable development principles.<\/p>\n

Ukraine plans to fulfill nine urgent reforms that concern: waste management, state ecological inspection, industrial pollution control, complex monitoring of environment, reserved areas management and other.<\/p>\n

Anticipated practical results include the use of modern technologies in reconstruction of industry and ten-fold cut in greenhouse gases emissions.<\/p>\n
